  • The Board approved the minutes from the June 8, 2017 school board meeting.
  • The Board was updated on the solar project.  The Board approved the Equipment Lease Purchase Agreement and Escrow Agreement with First Internet Public Finance Corp. for the solar project. 
  • Assistant Superintendent Sterling Boles reported on the health insurance claims for June 2017.
  • The opening school schedule was reported as follows:
    • August 1 – All school offices open
    • August 2-4 – FES, LES, LMS new student registration by appointment
    • August 7-9 – FJSHS & LHS new student registration by appointment
    • August 10 – New Teacher Orientation
    • August 11 – Organization Day/In-service Day (meet at LHS for breakfast and introductions, work at schools for the day)
    • August 14 – Teacher Work Day
    • August 15 – First Day for K-12 Students
  • The Board approved the following schedule for the 2018 budget adoption:             
    • Week of August 14-18 – Budget work session (flexible date)
    • Wednesday, August 31 – 2018 budget sent to Gateway
    • Thursday, September 14 – Regular Board Meeting: Public Hearing on 2018 Budget, 7:30 p.m.
    • Thursday, October 12 – Regular Board Meeting: Adoption of 2018 Budget, 7:30 p.m.

      • $100.00 from Jim’s Formal Wear for the Class of 2018 Prom

  • The Board approved an updated policy for Criminal History Information and new policies for Criminal History Checks and Teacher Appreciation Grants.
