The Board approved the minutes from the October 10, 2013 school board meeting as presented.
The Board acknowledged Lapel Elementary School, which provided the information on the bulletin board for November.
Superintendent Bobby Fields reported on the health insurance claims for October 2013.
Mr. Fields reported on the free textbook statistics for 2013-14.
Mr. Fields reported on the parent-teacher conferences that were held October 16 & 17, 2013.
Mr. Fields reported on the delay in issuing the school accountability grades by the Department of Education.
Mr. Fields reported on the Circuit Breaker impact on the school corporation budget.
The Board approved for the school corporation to borrow funds on tax anticipation warrants from the Indiana Bond Bank for 2014.

The Board approved for the schools in the corporation to pay for supplies and equipment from the extra-curricular fund titled “General Fund” during the 2013-14 school year.
The Board approved the following out-of-state field trips:
Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School National Honor Society members to Timber Ridge Ski Resort in Michigan on January 10-12, 2014.
Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School members of the Class of 2015 to England and Scotland on April 2-11, 2015, and members of the Class of 2016 to England and Scotland on March 31-April 9, 2016.
Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School high school students to Costa Rica in summer, 2015.
Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School 8th grade class members to Gettysburg and Washington, D.C. on October 7-11, 2014.
The Board approved a resolution to place remaining 2013 appropriations from the various Frankton-Lapel Community Schools funds in the Rainy Day Fund as determined by the superintendent to help protect the school corporation in shortfalls of state funding and/or shortfalls in property tax collections. The Board also approved the use of Rainy Day funds to pay salaries in 2013.
