Lapel High School state champion boys’ basketball team members Caleb Bloom, Triston Carpenter, Levi Frazier, Ross Hagen, Kamron Herrington, Josiah Hudson, Andrew Hunt, Will Jones, Austin Lyons, Preston Scott, and Brady Smith led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Board approved the minutes from the March 10, 2016 school board meeting as presented.
The Board acknowledged Lapel High School which provided the information on the bulletin board for April.
Superintendent Bobby Fields reported on the health insurance claims for March 2016.
Mr. Fields reported on the wind damage to the administration office, Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School, and Lapel Elementary School that occurred on April 2, 2016.
Mr. Fields reported on the proposed Anderson Memory Care facility that will be located in the district and the tax abatement public hearing that was held on April 14, 2016.
Mr. Fields and Board President Tami Davis reported on the school schedule for the end of the 2015-16 school year.
The Board approved to apply to hold the 2017 Academic Hall of Fame at the Madison Park Church of God on March 6, 2017.
The Board approved a new school corporation organization chart.
