from the principal:

Dear Parents,

We have had a great first two weeks of school. Students are getting into routines and adjusting well to doing things a little differently this year.

Students in grades K-6 will be bringing their Chromebooks home today to complete their eLearning assignments tomorrow. They will not be bringing home their chargers as Chromebooks should be fully charged. Please make sure your child completes their assignments and there is an eLearning Parent Support Link below if you have any questions. Teachers will be attending professional development tomorrow.

We will be recognizing our 'Everyday Heroes' who live and work in our community next Friday, September 11th at 9:00 a.m. If you or someone in your family is in any branch of the military (active duty or reserves), works in law enforcement, serves as a firefighter or with an ambulance service, works as a paramedic, a doctor, or a nurse, etc., we invite you to come on 9/11 so we may thank you for your service to our community and our country. We are going to change things up this year by having our heroes parade in their vehicles around the back west and front parking areas of the school. Students will line the parking lots and thank our heroes as they drive by. We ask that our heroes remain in their vehicles throughout the parade. We ask our guests to drive to the back east parking lot (towards the football field) to check in with Keri Brobston beginning at 8:40 a.m. We ask that all staff and students wear red, white, and blue on September 11th.

I hope everyone enjoys the 3-day Weekend. Please remember that school will not be in session on Monday, September 7th to observe Labor Day.

Below is the link for eLearning Parent Support. There is a page for elementary and one for MS/HS. There have been a couple of slight changes from last year and the videos reflect these changes. Also, check out the "Read and Write" page. We have a subscription to that this year and that page gives a lot of helpful information on how to use the toolbar.

eagle packs

Dear Families,

A program has been brought to Frankton Community Schools called Eagle Packs.

This program is a community mission sponsored by the local churches and community members. Each bag will contain consumable food for the weekend (breakfast, lunch, and dinner items plus 2 snacks). This is an anonymous program so your child will not be identified to students as receiving the bags. Distribution of bags has changed from the previous years. You have two options: 1) Pick bag up from Frankton United Methodist Church or 2) home delivery of bags on Thursday of each week.

If you are interested in having your child receive a weekend Eagle Pack

food bag, please click on the link below to enroll your child(ren).

Thank you,

Eagle Pack Committee
